LACROSSE RULES

The league will follow U.S. Lacrosse/PIAA High School Rules

  1. Players: rostered for one team only. goalie exception; guest player
    • Guest goalie unavailable – 4’x4’ shot blocker may be used
    • Substitute entry allowed while players are off field
  2. Teams: using an illegal player without first informing the referee:
    • Team will forfeit the game and become ineligible for plays
  3. Teams: 6 field players and 1 goalie on the field at once
  4. Shot Blocker in Play: live ball comes to rest in the crease;
    • Defending team player can enter crease as a “deputy” for possession of ball for a clear.
    • Defenders that enter crease prior to complete rest of ball
    • Will be penalized with crease violation.
  5. Restraining Line: half field line
    • Each team must keep two offensive players and three defensive players
    • Including the goalie behind the restraining line.
  6. Iindividual Game Halves: start with a draw. each team will place one field player behind each sideline, remaining players lined up Behind goal line extended.
  7. Goal Scored: game will resume with a goalie clear. back curtains are the end lines.
  8. “Outs”: when ball or players touch the curtain
  9. Players/Teams: must use benches opposite from the spectator bleachers
  10. Game Ball: both teams must supply a game ball
  11. Half Time: 1 minute duration; game clock starts promptly
  12. Game Time: no time added for a late start or extended half time.
  • Spitting is not permitted and will result in a yellow card
  • Referees can handle any situation(s) that involves them, players coaches or spectators, whether during game play or elsewhere in the facility
  • Dome management and staff can issue suspensions in place of a red card to the same degree as a referee
